DAY 1Enjoying the most important sites of Cusco

Welcome to Cusco! We’ll pick you up from the airport and head to your hotel. A few hours later, join us on this spectacular tour of the city’s most important historical sites. You’ll be inspired as you walk through Cusco’s ancient streets and beautiful plazas.

You’ll step back in time as you explore every era of the royal city’s past: it’s the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Americas! We can trace the history of Cusco back in time, from Native Americans to the Incas and Spanish, and finally to the modern citizens of Cusco.

In addition to the historical significance of this great city, Cusco is breathtaking, with a vibrant culture and world-acclaimed cuisine. We’re confident this majestic city will exceed all your expectations.

DAY 2Pisac and the Andean communities

The town of Pisac is part of a millennia-old history. It has a cosmopolitan culture and present, which gives it a unique modernity. People who seek out this town do so for the experiences they can find: the Inca archaeological site, the beautiful landscapes, and the spirituality that permeates throughout. The territory was an important Inca and colonial space.

This ancient complex, with its intricate agricultural terraces, celestial observatories, and imposing temples, offers more than just a journey into Peru’s past; it invites you to delve into a world where every stone tells a story of spiritual significance, astronomical precision, and community harmony.
The surrounding communities are steeped in Andean customs, and the artisan market is steeped in Inca and colonial history.

DAY 3Exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred Valley is one of Peru’s most beautiful and historically important areas. The valley was the foundation of the Inca civilization, and the river that runs through it is believed to be aligned with the cosmos. Several of the Incas’ most notable works were built here. Explore the citadel of Ollantaytambo, the ancient Inca terraces of Moray, and the salt terraces of Maras. The valley is also home to many indigenous people who continue to live as they have for centuries, and it’s possible to visit local markets and communities.

DAY 4Explore short Inca trail to Machu Picchu

This hike will allow you to experience all the wonders of the final leg of the classic 4-day trek. During the journey, you will visit fascinating archaeological sites, including the impressive Wiñaywayna. You will learn all about the ancient Inca culture and connect with nature and Mother Earth in stunning landscapes.

You can relax amid the rolling hills and enjoy your packed lunch. Walk to the Sun Gate, from where those on the 4-day Inca Trail enter Machu Picchu. From here, you will have your first spectacular views of the imposing Machu Picchu.
