Your adventure will begin early in the morning with a 5:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel. We’ll depart for the charming town of Ollantaytambo. There, we’ll board our Inca Rail train (The 360° Panoramic Train) to kilometer 104, the starting point of our trek. Our support staff will be waiting to assist you with any luggage.

After checking in, we’ll begin our trek by visiting the first nearby archaeological site: Chachabamba. This was once a strategic guard post and checkpoint for those accessing the Inca Trail. Your guide will briefly stop to share some fascinating insights into Inca history. From here, the actual hike begins, lasting another 3 hours to the Wiñay Wayna Complex. During the trek, you’ll be surrounded by lush vegetation and majestic mountains, offering breathtaking views of the valley.

There, you’ll have ample time to relax, unwind, and connect with Mother Nature through the refreshing breeze. A little further on, you’ll reach one of the campsites on the Classic Inca Trail. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious and well-deserved lunch, relax, and recharge your energy.

Next, we’ll continue our hike to the Sun Gate, where you’ll get your first panoramic view of the imposing Machu Picchu. It will be a truly breathtaking experience! You’ll marvel at the ingenuity of the Incas in constructing such a wonder. The enchanting landscape invites reflection on your connection with nature.

Now, we’ll head to the exit to catch a bus to Aguas Calientes. Your luxury hotel awaits, but first, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the town’s finest restaurants. Be sure to get an early night’s rest, as you’ll wake up at dawn for your next adventure.

The big day has arrived! You’ll wake up very early to avoid the crowds at Machu Picchu. A bus will take you from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu at 5:30 a.m., arriving at the sanctuary around 6:00 a.m. Once inside, you’ll witness the incredible sunrise over the citadel and enjoy breathtaking views before beginning a guided tour. You’ll visit different types of circuits depending on your interests.

During the tour, you’ll explore the most important areas of Machu Picchu, including terraces, houses, temples, and ancient trails. You’ll also stop at the main viewpoints to appreciate the impressive engineering and scale of this Inca masterpiece. If you’ve booked your tickets in advance, you can also choose to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for even more spectacular views.

After midday, you’ll descend back to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have time for lunch at a restaurant of your choice before boarding the Peru Rail train (Vistadome Observatory) to the town of Poroy. From there, our private transportation will take you back to your accommodation in Cusco. You’ll truly have an unforgettable experience of adventure and comfort on this short 2-day Inca Trail trek.
